 Valmont-Newmark's patented Splice Joint spun concrete poles provide for easier, quicker, less expensive and safer installations. It is difficult to install tall poles in limited access areas. But since we manufacture our Splice Joint spun concrete poles in two or more sections, transportation to the job site is much easier. And shorter sections make it possible to transport by helicopter. Thus, tall poles can easily be installed in off-road sites that are inaccessible to cranes. Additionally, our exclusive design eliminates the need for bolts and flanges. That makes installation much quicker. Since the concrete poles can be direct-embedded, there are no expensive foundations, thereby saving installation time and costs.
Our Splice Joint eliminates expensive flanges. Flange joints require periodic checks to ensure that adequate ball torque is maintained. The Splice Joint, however, is virtually maintenance free.
Since no flanges or bolts are required, your crew won't need to be on the pole during installation. This greatly improves safety on any project.
