As group president of utility, Chris is responsible for leading the utility segment in creating alignment with the engineered support structures segment (ESS), establishing efficiencies through standardization and leveraging the global position for Valmont® as the company grows through product introductions and geographic expansion.

Before joining Valmont in 2011, Chris worked for a market-leading global manufacturer of irrigation equipment and electronics for more than 20 years. He became a division president for a $200M segment of the company. In 2007, the company was acquired by Bosch North America, where Chris served as vice president of business development, growing his business segment to more than $350M in sales revenue, operating in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Chris graduated with honors from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management/international business. He attended the University of Michigan where he received executive management certification in strategic planning, Kaplan Devries Institute for Leadership Training and the Stuttgart Institute of Management for advanced training in marketing and product development.
