As the vice president of global marketing, Matt leads the worldwide marketing initiative for Valmont® Industries, Inc. His responsibilities include the development of strategies and business intelligence that will allow Valmont to maintain its leadership position in its chosen markets, while creating new pathways for growth and expanding addressable markets. In addition, Matt provides marketing leadership to the four business segments of Valmont.

Matt joined Valmont in 2013 as the vice president of global marketing for the company’s Valley® Irrigation brand. Prior to Valmont, Matt spent thirteen years with Emerson, holding various leadership positions in global marketing and product management for its RIDGID® brand.

Matt has held positions on the board of directors of the Groundwater Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America Mid-America Council, as well as the advisory council of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation committee of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. Matt is a sought-after speaker on the topics of marketing and international business.

Matt is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, receiving a BS in business administration, international business & economics in 1998, and a MBA, international management in 1999.
