It’s why we ask, “Who would you hire?” It’s also why we created the Employee Referral Program. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for suggesting Valmont to your friends, family and others who are ready to grow in their careers.

Bonus Levels
The amount of the referral bonus payment will vary based on the position. Please see the chart below.

Program Rules
Eligibility: All Production employees working for Valmont are eligible for payment for referred candidates. All Administrative employees below Director level, except Human Resources personnel and managers with hiring authority, are eligible for payment for referred candidates.

Timing: The referral date cannot be earlier than the date the job is posted. The hiring of a referred employee must occur within 180 days of the initial referral date.

Contact: The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with Valmont in the past two years. Contract, temporary and former employees of Valmont are not eligible to be referred for payment. To be eligible for a referral bonus, the referring employee must be indicated on the candidate’s Workday application for a specific vacancy.

Duplication: The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.

Disputes: Any disputes regarding the interpretation of the program requirements will be resolved by the Regional HR Manager.

Payment: 100% of the earned bonus amount will be paid on the first pay period after the referred employee has been employed with Valmont for 120 days. Both the referring employee and the referred employee must be actively employed by Valmont in an eligible capacity on the date of any referral payment.
